What are Dunnage Bags?
Dunnage bags are an excellent way of stabilising and securing cargo during transportation, whether by road, rail or ship. These bags are placed in the void in-between the cargo so that they don’t crash into one another. Almost every type of cargo can be secured with the help of dunnage bags including palletised cargo, barrels, cases, crates and metal coils.
Dunnage bags are typically made from an elastic film that can be filled with air. When the bag is inflated and at rest, it bears the weight of the package upon its cushioning. However, when dynamic loads are placed, their weights are absorbed by the compression of the cushion.
Inflatable Dunnage Air Bags are made of Kraft paper with an inner layer of woven PP cloth for additional resilience and durability. The inside bladder is made of PA film, which enables quick inflation and deflation. An innovative inflation valve seals the bladder that can be inflated with an air-inflator gun. Our dunnage bags are 1000mm wide and 2200mm in length.
